As the pandemic continues, we are aware that parents (and other educators in classrooms as well as in the community) are looking for more virtual learning resources, especially in STEM. It is important that children today continue to develop their STEM mindsets, a trial-and-error approach crucial to creating critical thinkers that require children to embrace mistakes and believe in their abilities to problem solve.

We have curated our collection of walkSTEM videos, which connect STEM concepts to the world around us, into 5-day plans with different categories. The plans are for children ages 5-9. We currently have 3 kinds of plans you can use: Places, Themes, and Experiments. The goal is to provide parents with an easy way to have their child develop their STEM mindsets through exploration, commitment, and frequency. All explorations are convenient, fun, and easy to do at home or in your neighborhoods.

To follow the plans, just watch the videos with your child and have them ask questions about their own world. The plans are also flexible. You can spend multiple days on one video. You can watch the videos and then ask your child questions or watch the videos with your child. Don’t forget to have fun!
