Pi Day Math Festival at Sammons Park Cancelled

talkSTEM and AT&T Performing Arts Center decided to host the Pi Day Math Festival VIRTUALLY instead of outside in Sammons Park due to poor weather predictions. We will NOT be hosting Pi Day Math Festival at Sammons Park on Saturday March 14th.

Introducing the First Virtual Pi Day 2020

We are accepting the challenge to continue to provide kids, families and parents a fun, engaging, unique experience to explore and appreciate the science, technology, engineering and math around them.
We decided to bring the Pi Day fun to you!
This is when the concept of the Virtual Pi Day was born.

Keep an eye on our social media for the next week to explore kid-friendly STEM activities at your finger tips. With the power of technology and our wonderful partner organizations, we will bring the Pi Day celebration to your home and around the world! Look out for fun activities from partner organizations such as Kimbell Art Museum, Crow Collection of Asian Art, If/Then initiative, Girls Do STEAM, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and more!

Looking for ways to engage your children during this extended time at home? We welcome you to try out any of these activities in your home, thanks to the work of our partner organizations.

Download the Festival Passport Here:

This passport is perfect for keeping track of your math festival activities with your child. Encourage your young student to use the passport to navigate the playlist, and plan what activities they’d like to try. This resource works well with the playlist to easily add structure to your child’s day. Especially during extended time at home.

Throughout the week, we will also share videos from the walkSTEM@ Dallas Arts District tour so you can explore and learn with us, virtually.

We hope you can use these resources with your families to engage, learn and entertain during this time at home.

Thank you to our partner organizations who generously contributed activities to this virtual experience.
